Job description
Protocol Education in Manchester are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Teacher of Special Education Needs. The right candidate should have a commitment to academic excellence and who is passionate about helping every child succeed. The ability to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and to consistently teach inspirational lessons is essential. The opportunity is to work in an OUTSTANDING ' SEND academy based in the heart of Stockport, providing support for pupils with MLD and physical disabilities.

It takes a very special person to work with pupils with severe learning difficulties. Class sizes can be as small as 6-8 pupils and there is a high ratio of LSA support. TheStockport based school supports pupils with SLD/MLD and with complex needs, there may be pupils with degenerative illnesses, those who are completely non-verbal and communicate using basic signing tools like Makaton or through a series of lights and clickers.

The successful candidate should:
•QTS or equivalent to teach PE
•Have knowledge/interest and experience working with Autism/ASD, ADHD, EBD, SLD,
•Be a patient and positive role model for children
