Protocol Education are looking for a SEND teacher to work in one of our excellent special needs school in Lewisham. The role requires someone who has experience working with children with physical disabilities, severe learning disabilities and autism.
This role will be teaching primary students aged from 3 - 7 years old teaching P-level work to students with complex needs. Due to the level of special needs, some of the students are non-verbal, require wheelchair assistance and focus on sensory development.
As part of the role, you will be required to differentiate, deliver and co-ordinate lessons and curriculum to students with special needs. Candidates who are committed to ensuring pupils make good progress and encourage pupils to reach their potential will considered for this role.
Successful candidates will need the following skills and qualifications:
• QTS teaching or a UK recognised teaching qualification teaching at a secondary or primary level.
• Confident in differentiating work in accordance to meet the student's needs.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and ability to work well under pressure.
• Have experience teaching SEN students
• Experience with P-Levels
• PECs and Makaton experience
