Protocol Education are currently recruiting support workers and teaching assistants to work in an outstanding school located in Southwark to start in September 2020. A leading specialised provision within Southwark, this particular school is currently recruiting support workers and teachings assistant that either come from a care background or are interested in a career in education. As a teaching assistant you will be expected to create an environment that will empower each student to become confident, independent life-learners who can express themselves and their choices, whilst safeguarding their happiness and safety. Successful candidates will focus on numeracy, literacy, sensory development within classes that include cooking, gardening. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to assist students within their work placements.

The role:
• Work with students on a 1:1 basis and within a class
• Assisting with recreational activities such as gardening, farming and bowling
• Support the learners in class on a one to one basis with numeracy and literacy
• Assist with their daily learning needs & activities such as shopping, washing & cooking
• Working within a supportive environment and team
