Protocol Education is looking for a special needs teaching assistant to work in a special needs school in the Chesterfield area . A special needs teaching assistant needs to provide a high level of support to children with a range of learning difficulties including ASD (autism), complex needs and PMLD.

This school has a wonderful reputation for really understanding the individual needs of the children. They are able to create a bespoke care plan and curriculum with the input of a multidisciplinary team including parents/guardians, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists physiotherapists, learning support workers and teachers.

Please apply if you have the following:-

  • Experience in special needs
  • Moving and Handling training
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with special educational needs
  • Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going support

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00
