Job description
Residential Support Workers - SEN

Are you looking for a fun new environment to work in where you can engage with other professionals and support children with additional needs?
A new opportunity to work in a residential special needs school in Ealing has arisen after an increase in student numbers.
A specialist autistic school currently have 21 of their students residing in a housing unit in a rural part of Ealing and are now looking to expand their residential support team.
Role Residential Support Worker
Duties include working closely with pupils of SEN in groups or 1:1, maintaining and improving the social, emotional, physical and learning needs for pupils. The ideal Residential Support Worker will be able to tailor their approach in regards to communication, engagement, and distraction techniques to optimise learning and maximise comfort. If you already have experience in this vocation then you will also be required to assist with personal care, administer medication and have strong knowledge of health and safety polices. If you have not had experience in these areas then you will be expected to take part in a rigorous training programme.
Two shift patterns allow staff to work outside of school hours.

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
