We are curently recruiting for a special needs school in Lambeth who are seeking learning support assistants to join their growing team. As a teaching assistant you will be working with primary special needs students on a one to one basis and assisting within a class. The role will require you to assist with the development of their speech & language, encourage cognitive stimulation through sensory engagement, teaching social skills and helping students to understand their emotions.

Responsibilities:
  • Working one to one and as a team
  • Assisting with basic numeracy & literacy
  • Developing communication skills and social awareness
  • Assisting in lessons that include song, play, art & music
  • Encouraging sensory engagement through sound & touch
