A school in Wandsworth are looking for learning support assistants and teaching assistants with experience working with physical disabilities and complex needs. The school are looking for teaching assistants to develop academic studies, communication skills and cognitive stimulation through sensory integration. As part of the role you will be working 1:1 or lead small groups of learners.

As part of the role, you will gain accredited CPD that include learning strategies, behaviour techniques and medical procedures. As an additional benefit, the school offer residential shift work in the evening and mornings supporting learners in a home setting. Shifts are optional and are separate from working in the school.

Main Duties:
• Supporting students 1:1 with numeracy & literacy
• Developing social & communication skills through sensory integration
• Assessing pupils' levels and ability
• Working with students with visual/hearing impairments, autism, physical disabilities
• Behaviour management
• Comfortable or open to supporting learners with personal care
