An outstanding special needs primary school located in Wandsworth catering for students with mild autism, physcial disabilities, learning difficulties and complex needs are looking for teaching assistants to join their team. This particular school are keen to employ teaching assistants on a fleixible basis to begin with with a view to go long-term. Due to the increased number of students, the school are looking to recruit a number of staff to start immediately. All applicants must have recent experience working with children with special educational needs, in either a primary school or special needs school environment. Class sizes range from 6 - 8 students with a class teacher and number of teaching assistants to support in the class.

The role:
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Minimum of one months experience working with children
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Supporting students on a one to one basis
  • Leading small groups with guided reading
  • Supporting low level numeracy and literacy
  • Encouraging positive social interaction with peers
