A residential home that support pupils who attend the Special Needs school is looking for an SEN Care Worker to join their team and help the pupils staying at the residential home during term time and in the holidys.
The successful candidate will be looking after students aged 10 to 18 years with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH), Autisum, ADHD and behaiours that challenge. They require a proactive, flexible, empathetic, and reliable worker who uses their initiative and is passionate about working with these students to help them progress into adulthood.
You will need to have an understanding of Special Needs and must be willing to build positive relationships with the students and be able to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working with students with SEN is a desirable, however those wishing to gain experience in this field are more than welcome to apply for the position. Training can be provided to successful candidates.
Applicants must be willing to assist with personal care when required and any training required fr the role.
About the Role:
Full Time and part time work availale
Shifts 2 days on – 4 days off pattern (including night shifts)
£70 - £80 per day
Previous SEN experience - highly desirable but not essential
Willingness to train and complete courses relating to SEN
Proactive, flexible & reliable
Willing to provide personal care
Manual Handling/Team Teach/NAPPI training - highly desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
