Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work within an outstanding special needs school located in Merton. This particular school caters for Primary to Post 16 students with autism, speech & language difficulties and challenging behaviour. As a teaching assistant you will be required to work one to one with students, support the class teacher, focus on academic studies such as English, maths, science, social skills and teach strategies to overcome overwhelming environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Differentiate work to meet the students needs
  • Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic support and working under the instruction of the class teacher
  • Manage student behaviour and support their well being
  • Helping the students with their life & social skills
  • Maintain and uphold safeguarding of all students
