Job description
Special Needs Assistant - Kingston

Protocol Education are looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants are available to work in the Kingston area. The successful candidate will be working with children with special needs such as profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and speech and language difficulties in the Borough of Kingston.

As a specialist SEN Teaching Assistant, successful candidates will need the following experience and skills:

• To have worked one to one and lead groups with children with special needs such as PMLD, ASD and speech and language difficulties.
• Experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
• Be able to differentiate work to support needs of children.
• PECS and Makaton experience is desirable
