Protocol Education are in partnership with a school in Leeds area (LS18). They are searching to appoint a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) for September, with a passion and enthusiasm for working with children in education. Experience would be desirable, but the drive to succeed and a positive attitude is just as important.

Your qualities:

  • Be empathetic, patient, and adaptable as you will be working with students from 11 – 16 years, with a range of special educational needs.
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs, direct experience desirable. SEN CPD Training provided.
  • Confident working with young individuals. Experience in a school setting is desirable, but transferable experience or skills are considered.
  • You can work using your own initiative to contribute to a dedicated team.
  • Supporting the students within the classroom and leading small group interventions or one-to-one support.
  • Helping the teacher manage student behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
