Moving and Handling
A Specialst school in South Yorkshire are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant with Moving and Handling and hoist experience to assist in multiple classes throughout the school.
The focus of the school is it’s pupils and the development of each individaual to reach their potential. With state of the art facilities the school can offer a wide range of support for pupils with mild to severe and profound learning difficulties, Autism and speach and language disorders.
Your role will be to support on a one to one basis in the classroom and assist with the care and moving and handling of the individual being respectful of their needs at asll times. You will also be responsible for assisting the young person with their work and interaction in the classroom and the whole school. You will work closely with the Class Teacher organising the resources for the day and contributing to IEP’s.
The essential criteria for this post will be to have a Moving and Handling qualification or similar and experience using hoist. A Team Teach qualification would be desirable but not essential.
