Protocol Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants & Learning Support Assistants to work in one of our Special Needs College in Sutton. As a teaching assistant you will be working with students on a one to one basis and working as part of a team assisting with the teacher and supporting the students. The role will require successful applicants to focus on students academics, developing life skills,  encouraging social independence & participating in work placements. You will be supporting learners with a range of disabilities that include; Autism, physical disabilities, severe learning disabilities and varying levels of behaviour in a specialist learning environment. As an Outstanding College they are looking for teaching assistants that adhere to their ethos who apply a patient and engaging approach to learners, their learning and needs, and be able to work creatively and pro-actively.

The ideal person:
  • Special needs experience or care experience.
  • Resilience and patience, compassion and understanding.
  • An ability to be proactive, creative and empathetic.
  • To adhere to the school's policies and practices.
  • Ideally you will be Team Teach trained (not essential)
