Job description
ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED TEACHING ASSISTANT?

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH SEN STUDENTS?

My client is a ‘GOOD’ Ofsted rated SEN school based in Hillingdon. The school caters for students who have complex learning difficulties and/or autism. All have a statement of special educational needs. Since the last inspection the complexity of need has increased considerably, noticeably in Years 7 to 11. The school also provides support to mainstream schools in Hillingdon for students with complex needs and those on the autistic spectrum. The majority of pupils are of White British or Mixed White heritage. There are small minorities from Asian and Black British-Caribbean heritages. The school attained Specialist Schools status for Cognition and Learning in September 2008. It holds Healthy Schools status, the Sportsmark and International School awards.

They have had four Ofsted/HMI visits since 2003 and each one has been successful with the standards of the School never being judged as less than good and each time an increasing number of outstanding judgements. The school already has exceptional results in National examinations and accreditation which have been brought about by the high expectations we have of our children irrespective of their learning needs.

Currently they have a number of support vacancies across the school for September.

The ideal candidate will have some SEN experience and will have worked in a school supporting students.

In return we can offer you competitive rates of pay, CPD training and your won dedicated consultant.

If you are a suitable candidate please get in touch, if you know anyone else that is a suitable candidate please get in touch with their details and you could receive £50 Shopping vouchers!

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
