Job description
My client is a Primary school based in Hackney and they are looking for a SENTA with a minimum of one year's experience required.

Candidates with experience in ASD, MLD and Down syndrome will be advantageous. Daily tasks include the ability to carry out 1:1/small group sessions, other duties include supporting the teacher as well as assist in planning and preparing for classes.

To be successful for the role you will need to understand and demonstrate a sound understanding of the support required for children with special educational needs.

Ideally you will:

• Have experience with PECS, Makaton, Team Teach. (Preferable but not essential)
• Can work independantly or in groups.
• Have good communication skills with staff as well as children and parents.
• The ability to use initiative.
