We are currently looking for SEND Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Staff to work in specialist settings based in Nottingham. The schools provide an education for students with additional needs such as Autism and other associated conditions. The groups you are working with could be either at key stage 2, 3, 4 or 5. If you have experience in supporting young people or have worked in an alternative school setting or provider then this will put you at a distinct advantage.

You will ideally hold a Team Teach certification or at least be prepared to train for one as we run courses to get you certified. You must have a passion for working with young people. The work can be very rewarding; however, it can also be challenging at times, so you need to be resilient, calm, composed and can manage challenging behaviours in the school. Many students may also have challenging home lives, may present complex communication needs, learning difficulties or are high on the autistic spectrum.  If you are looking for a change in career, fed up with the long care hours or a graduate looking to start their career with a view to working with young people in a wider context then this could well be the opening you have been searching for...

Simply apply and we will be in contact with you to discuss the next steps.

• A passion for working closely with SEND students to achieve their personal goals and behaviours
