Special Education Needs & Disabilities school based in the Leicestershire area that support pupils aged between 4 and 11 years with a variety of special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), medical, sensory and physical needs.

They require friendly, caring, empathetic and reliable teaching assistants to join their Engagement & Intervention team. You will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Previous experience of working with Special Education Needs pupils is desirable, but not essential. Those wishing to gain experience in this field are more than welcome to apply for the position. Training can be provided to successful candidates.
All applicants must be willing to assist with personal care. The school promote the pupils to be independent where possible and a nurturing approach so pupils can learn and succeed throughout their educational journey.
Teaching Assistants with, Moving and Handling, Manual Handling (including Team Teach & NAPPI), Peg feeding and Medical Administration training are highly desirable.

Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Monday Friday
8.30am - 4.00pm
£65 - £75 per day

Ideal Candidate:
Previous SEN experience highly desirable
Willing to provide personal care.
PECS or Makaton experience - desirable.
Manual Handling training - highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
