A special needs school in Derbyshire are looking to recruit passionate and reliable Special Needs (SEND) Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.  The successful candidates need to have prior experience of working with SEND preferrably in an education setting. The provision are happy to provide necessary training for candidates to support those who are passionate and require extra training to build on existing skills and knowledge.  

If you have experience in schools or within care settings and would like to gain experience in this field, please feel free to apply as training can be provided. 

The successful candidate will be supporting students aged between 5 and 16 years with a variety of needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Attachment & Trauma, Anxiety, behaviours that challenge, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH). This provision is looking for an enthusiastic for a candidate who is proactive, well-organised, flexible, empathetic and a team player to join their friendly, supportive team in delivering the work to pupils alongside providing personal care.

The candidate will understand the importance of a person-centred approach and ensure the students’ learning is a positive experience, ensuring students are working towards achieving their objectives in the lesson.

The provision promotes independency, self-esteem, and opportunities throughout the learning of their students, to support them on their educational journey in order to reach their full potential.  

Applicants must be willing to undergo necessary training when required.
 

About the Role: 
Special Needs TA/ LSA
ASAP 
Full Time and Part Time work available

8.30am - 3.30pm 
£70- £85 per day (dependant on experience - can be negotiated) 
 

Ideal Candidate: 
Previous SEN experience - highly desirable but not essential

Willingness to train and complete courses relating to SEN

Proactive and well-organised

Team player 

 
Team Teach/NAPPI training - highly desirable but not essential
