Job description
We are currently working with a lovely primary school in Hillingdon who are seeking a behaviour specialist or experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis, working 1:1 with a child with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties in a KS2 Class.

This position is offered as a temporary contract to start ASAP, with the potential to lead to a permanent position for the right person.

You will be required to work Monday to Friday at 8.20am - 3.45pm, timekeeping is a MUST with this position.

This position would suit someone with a background in psychology or counselling, or someone who has worked within an environment where they have used positive behaviour management strategies to support a young person

This child has a very complex background and therefore is it essential that the person taking on this role has the ability to nurture as well as encourage, ensuring that a positive relationship is established with safe boundaries to enable a boost in self-esteem for a child who has struggled with attainment due to behaviour challenges. The role therefore requires full commitment both in timekeeping and full-time attendance as consistency is key.

As a company we also run Team teaching courses, as part of our ongoing commitment to CPD so if you are interested in a position to utilise your skills as well as building on them, then this could be the role for you.

Skills needed:

Ability to use your own initiative
Real Interest in making a difference
Ability to provide a fun and interactive environment for the students.
The ability to be a great role model for the students.
Experience supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.
Have a real passion for supporting SEND students
Career aspirations.

You will need to be able to commit till at least the end of this academic year, however ideally we are looking for someone who is interested in the long term and wanting to build a lasting relationship.
