Job description
SEND Teaching Assistant

I am looking for SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a Deaf Additional resource provision (ARP) that is still very much a part of the Primary School. Experience working in an ARP (Additionally Resourced Provision) unit would be preferred but not essential. The ARP caters for 20 (FTE) deaf children who have a moderate, severe or profound permanent hearing loss in both ears with an associated language delay. The children are supported by a team of Teachers of the Deaf, Education Communication Support Workers and Speech and Language Therapists. Several children have SEND in addition to their deafness.

Applicants MUST have British Sign Language (Level 1 or 2) and experience working with other SEND including working with ASD and EBD.
