A Doncaster school for children with moderate learning difficulties is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in the classroom across key stages 2, 3 and 4. A Minority of the pupils at the school also have physical disabilities therefore the ideal candidate should also have in date moving and handling training.
This friendly school provides education for children with a statement of special education needs from primary age to post 16. As a result there is scope t develop new skills and support across the key stages. Moving and handling is only required in specific classes however applicants must have this training in order to assist in these classes.
Your main duties will include:
• Working with in the class supporting pupils academically.
• Leading small groups of pupils in booster lessons
• Liaising with the class teacher on the progress of pupils.
• Moving and handling training
• Level 3 teaching assistant
