SEND Teaching Assistant in Chobham
Immediate start after October half term
A well established school based in Chobham, Surrey is looking to recruit new SEND Teaching Assistants for other the October half term.
The school is a residential special school for boys, and takes care of pupils from aged 9 to 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The school provides a highly effective and individual package of education, care and pastoral support to young people who may have only negative experiences of school. A safe, caring environment supported by high levels of staffing ensures that each pupil has the opportunity to make progress and achieve their full potential.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- 1-2-1 support to children with special needs, including social and emotional difficulties.
- Assisting with learning and social skills
- Taking instruction from the class teacher
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working with children in a permanent or voluntary capacity.
- Capable of following instruction whilst also using initiative.
- Patience, empathy, resilience and confidence.
