We’re looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming team, supporting students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. You’ll play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, develop social skills, and engage in learning, using creativity and drama as powerful tools.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting with creative, and imaginative based activities
  • Encouraging communication, confidence, and emotional development
  • Helping to manage behaviour in a calm and positive way
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people (SEND/SEMH experience is ideal but not essential)
  • Has a creative background or interest in drama, theatre, or the arts
  • Is patient, adaptable, and empathetic
  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with students
  • Is passionate about inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
