SEND Teaching Assistant

If you are interested in pursuing a career working in education, or would like to make a change for the new academic year, Protocol Education may have just the role for you. I am currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant role, at an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ secondary school in North Leeds.

At a large and richly diverse school, the role would include supporting SEND students, both on a 1:1 basis, and in small groups. The students you would support have a range of learning and emotional needs, including Autism, ADHD, MLD, and SEMH. This role is short term, with the possibility of long term/permanent contracts becoming available.

This school supports students between the ages of 11-18. SEND support will span a variety of classes and students, adding value to their learning experience. Requiremenents for this role include lesson support and supervision, ensuring work is adapted for the various needs of students, some behaviour management, and safeguarding the wellbeing of higher needs children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
