A Sunderland Secondary school is recruiting for a SEND teaching assistant to work on a full time basis (Monday-Friday during term time).  This role may be permanent for the right person.

The school is located in the Washington area of Sunderland. It a highly regarded OFSTED good graded school.

As a SENd Teaching Assistant you will provide  1:1 or small group support with children with special educational needs.  The teaching assistant needs to have a strong knowledge and understanding of SEMH and ASC.

We are recruiting for a SEND teaching assistant who is consistent and reliable, to provide structure and support to each child.

Requirements:

  • Have experience working with children with SENS
  • Working Full time Monday- Friday 8:30- 15:30
  • Be a team player with a flexible approach to teaching
  • Be confident working both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Good behaviour management and de- escalation techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
