This OFSTED rated outstanding school, based in Barnsley, are searching for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced SEND TA who upholds a passion for providing children with SEND with the best experiences and tailored cooperation. This applicant will require experience working on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings with children of varying physical and educational needs.
The successful applicant will:
-Be reliable and consistent
-Understand an individual's needs, not offering a common approach to all.
-Have ample experience with SEND pupils
-Ideally be PECS and/or Makaton trained. Although this is preferred, training can be offered to a standout applicant.
-Have NVQ 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supporting and assisting the daily needs of SEND pupils, ensuring a comfortable and enabling learning environment is provided.
-Guarantee input is given allowing contribution to individual learning plans.
-Liaising with outside professionals to ensure that each child is receiving what is required for their individual learning journey.
-Regular progress monitoring and recording of SEND pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
