We're looking for caring, resilient and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with additional learning needs in welcoming specialist schools.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, ADHD and communication needs.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support inside and outside the classroom.
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
  • Using patience, encouragement and creativity to help every child access learning.
  • Adapting your approach to meet each child's individual needs, because every learner is unique.

We'd love to hear from you if you have experience in:

  • Residential care
  • Support work
  • Mental health support
  • Youth work
  • Care homes
  • Children's services
  • Community support

We're looking for someone who

  • Is kind, patient and resilient.
  • Builds positive relationships with ease.
  • Stays calm under pressure and adapts when plans change.
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Is eager to learn and develop within a rewarding education career.

Why you'll love this role

  • Make a genuine difference every single day.
  • Learn new skills through specialist SEND training.
  • Join supportive schools where teamwork comes first.
  • Build a rewarding career where no two days are ever the same.
