Some pupils need more than support.
They need consistency. Patience. Someone who doesn’t flinch when things get tricky.
If you’re the steady presence in the room, the one who spots the wobble before it turns into a meltdown, this could be your kind of role.
We’re working with a specialist SEND school in Rotherham looking for a confident, compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs including autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs.
This isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about making school feel safe, structured and possible for every child.

Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND
Stays calm, even when the classroom feels anything but
Understands de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches
Builds trust through consistency and kindness
Wants a role where their work genuinely changes a child’s day
If you’ve worked in a SEND school, PRU, alternative provision or care setting, we’d love to hear from you.
Supportive leadership who value their support staff
Ongoing training and development opportunities
A strong focus on emotional wellbeing and structured practice
A team who pull together, no egos, no drama
