Job description
Teacher for SEND Pupils

Protocol Education are looking for an experienced Teacher to work with students who have Severe and profound multiple learning difficulties. This vacancy is for a fantastic SEND school in the London Borough of Sutton. The Role is starting in September, however the school is looking to get the recruitment process underway as soon as possible.

The School works over two sites and provides education for children with Severe Learning difficulties (SLD) & Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties. Both sites are equipped with the latest sensory equipment and hydrotherapy pools.

Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 6/7 pupil and you'll be supported by at least two learning support assistants.

Essential skills and attributes:
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Professional working manner.
·Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour.
·Excellent behaviour management skills.
·Good working knowledge of SLD & PMLD
.Be passionate for teaching with the ability to deliver lessons to the highest quality.
.Compassionate and respectable towards staff and students alike
.Demonstrate commitment to education and the development of pupils
.Create dynamic and inspiring teaching methods

You must:
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Have professional experience working with SEND children in the UK in the last 3 years
• Have up to date professional childcare related references (covering the last 2 years)
• Have an enhanced DBS disclosure for both adult & child workforce on the Update Service or be happy to apply for one
