Job description
Protocol Education are currently working with a number of SEN schools who are looking to appoint SEN Teachers for a variety of day-to-day, short term and long term posts within SEN schools in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for teachers who are passionate about the provision of teaching for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to:

- Teach 1:1 or small groups
- Plan and evaluate provision
- Lead and model excellent practice
- Guide Learning Support Assistants
- Liaise with parents and outside agencies
- Work closely with the school SENCO and other teachers

The successful candidate will also have:

- QTS
- Knowledge/interest and experience working with Autism/ASD, ADHD, EBD, SLD, PMLD
- Excellent behaviour management skills proven track record of excellent teaching
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Warmth, empathy and patience
- Knowledge of BSL, Makaton, Team Teach, SPELL/TEACCH would be an advantage

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
