Job description
Special Education Needs Teacher

A special needs school based in Maidenhead are looking to appoint an experienced teacher.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced special needs teacher who has worked with SEN Pupils both primary and secondary. You will have experience in phase planning and preparing within an SEN curriculum and understand how important it is to tailor education to specific needs.
The aim of the school is to provide a suitable environment with a high level of therapeutic support and excellent teaching to allow pupils with autism to achieve their full potential and to make the most of their intelligence, focus and skills. Forest Bridge School will help each pupil that leaves the school to progress into training, employment or further education.
Teaching and learning will be based on the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the National Curriculum. We aim for each pupil to make above expected levels of progress in the EYFS and each Key Stage of the National Curriculum and to leave the school with either GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
