Job description
Special Educational Needs Teacher in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Sandwell. £140 per day
Are you a teacher that is looking for a job working with pupils that have special education needs?
Protocol Education regularly has jobs for teachers that can work with EBD, MLD, SLD and PMLD pupils.
These jobs requires you to have significant experience of working with both Primary and Secondary aged School aged pupils that have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties; learning difficulties of varying degrees; and other disabilities that may hinder the pupils from being in mainstream education.
In these jobs it is essential you are able to deal with challenging situations in the classroom and can apply your teaching skills effectively. If you are working with PMLD pupils you may be required to provide personal support to pupils in a way that maintains their dignity.
The schools will have their individual standards and values, so the job of a SEND teacher is to provide learning whilst reinforcing the school values through their authority and modelling acceptable behaviour.
There are opportunities for daily cover; and long term positions that may become permanent.
The ideal applicant for the roles will:
·Have experience supporting SEND pupils.
·Have the ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour.
·Can work with pupils that have complex needs.
·Be available to work between 3 - 5 days per week.
