Job description
A Northampton based special education needs setting has a role for SEND Teacher to join them on an ongoing basis. The school are rated' good by Ofsted and provide a range of curricular and therapeutic learning to primary and secondary aged pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs and associated learning difficulties.

As a SEND Teacher you will be responsible for teaching a broad curriculum with a particular focus on literacy and numeracy to small groups of children within the classroom and in the community. You will deliver a creative curriculum that allows children to learn through activity based learning.

Applications are welcome from candidates that are able to demonstrate experience working with children and young people in education or residential settings. You will ideally have some experience of phonics, makaton, manual handling and be of a caring and encouraging personality.

This is a long term supply opportunity working 5 days a week supporting a small group of pupils. You will have access to the school facilities and be encouraged to play a part in the wider school community. The school have a fantastic reputation for welcoming supply staff and making them feel a part of success of the school and its pupils.
