SEND Teacher – Hexham (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Hexham. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and understands that every learner needs an approach that works for them. You'll support pupils with a range of additional needs, delivering engaging and personalised lessons that build confidence, develop independence and help every child make meaningful progress.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
  • Supporting pupils with EHCP outcomes and personalised targets
  • Creating a calm, structured and inclusive classroom
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
  • Monitoring progress and adapting strategies where needed
  • Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

What we're looking for

You'll hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a genuine commitment to helping every learner succeed.

You'll also be:

  • Patient, creative and adaptable
  • Confident managing a classroom
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Reflective and open to new approaches
  • Passionate about SEND and inclusive education

Previous specialist experience is welcomed, although mainstream teachers looking to move into SEND are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
