Job description
SEN Teaching Assistant Job - Derby- £55-£70 per day.

Are you looking for teaching assistant work?

We are looking for an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team at a SEND Specialist school in Derby.


Initially on a one year contract, supporting a SEN child (KS1 or 2) or working within an Early Years or KS1 class. You must have sound knowledge of how children learn and a number of strategies to encourage learning.

You will need to be sensitive to the special needs of individual children and be able to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working with special needs children and running intervention groups is essential. Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

You'll be successful if you have:
• A Child workforce DBS, on the update service - we can support you through the process of applying for one if you do not already have one.
• Confidence in working with challenging behaviour
• Enthusiasm and confidence to work in this environment.
