Are you a passionate Primary or Secondary Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a genuine difference to young people's lives?

Protocol Education is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teacher for a specialist school in Street, Somerset (BA16).

We welcome applications from qualified teachers with experience across Primary or Secondary education who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.

Your Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
  • Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils with a range of SEND and complex needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
  • Monitor progress and provide appropriate support.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider SEND team.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

We are looking for:

  • UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Primary or Secondary teaching experience.
  • A genuine passion for SEND education.
  • Previous SEND experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
