SEND Teacher – Street, Somerset (BA16) | Full-Time | September Start

Primary or Secondary Teachers Welcome | UK QTS Required

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs?

Protocol Education is recruiting a SEND Teacher to join a specialist school in Street, Somerset (BA16). We welcome applications from both Primary and Secondary Teachers who hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are passionate about delivering inclusive education.

This is a full-time position starting in September, offering the opportunity to work within a supportive specialist setting where every day makes a meaningful impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties, and complex needs.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies where required.
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Managing behaviour positively and promoting independence and confidence.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in either a Primary or Secondary setting.
  • Previous SEND experience is highly desirable.
  • Are resilient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
