SEND Teacher

Location: Bath
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Flexible
Start Date: September 2026

Looking for a teaching role where you can change lives, not just lessons?

Every child deserves a teacher who sees what they can do, not just the challenges they face.

We're working with a welcoming specialist SEND school in Bath that's looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team. This is an opportunity to teach in an environment where relationships come first, every achievement is celebrated, and you'll have the time and support to make a genuine difference.

Whether you're an experienced SEND teacher or a mainstream teacher with a passion for inclusive education, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and the wider school team
  • Celebrating every milestone, big or small, and helping pupils build confidence and independence

We're looking for someone who has

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • A calm, patient, and creative approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine commitment to helping every child reach their full potential

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, although we can support you with obtaining one if needed.

Why work with Protocol Education?

When you join us, you'll receive:

  • Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
  • FREE access to our online CPD Academy
  • A dedicated consultant who'll support you every step of the way
  • Opportunities in specialist SEND schools, mainstream schools, and alternative provisions
  • A quick and straightforward registration process
  • A referral scheme where you can earn rewards for recommending friends

Not Thrive trained yet? We offer FREE Thrive training to help you develop your understanding of emotional wellbeing and trauma-informed practice, giving you even more tools to support the children you work with.

If you're ready to inspire, encourage, and make a lasting impact in a specialist school where every day matters, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and start your next rewarding chapter in Bath this September.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
