SEN TA's and HLTA

Can you enhance learning and progress in the classroom?

If you have experience working with SEN children in a primary setting then this job is perfect for you! The role requires you to motivate and support pupils with specific learning needs and enhance their progress throughout the key stage.

I am working with schools in Lewisham, to recruit a number of SEN TA roles. Applicants looking for permanent, contract or temporary roles will be considered as will candidates looking for the flexibility of daily supply work.

A SEN TA/ HLTA supports a qualified teacher in the classroom and within the whole school setting. You need to enhance learning across the curriculum and work with pupils on their IEP's. You will deliver pre-planned lesson materials , monitor progress and help to create a positive learning environment. For those candidates with a passion for working with SEN children and making a difference this can be an ideal role.

The successful candidate could be a current HLTA, SEN TA or TA with more than 6 months experience working with primary SEN pupils. In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

• Ability to work with groups of students and 1:1 on IEP's
• Strong behaviour management
• Motivate, reassure and support learning tasks appropriate to pupils' needs
• Assisting in speech, language, reading, spelling and handwriting
• Ability to follow policies including behaviour management and rewards
• Flexibility in approach to classroom delivery and learning material
• Willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom
