There is a special school based in the Middlesbrough area that caters for children who are on the Autistic spectrum and have complex needs.
The Ideal candidate would be supporting children with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) and SEN and will be required to support individuals on a group and a 1:1 basis, assisting with classwork, medication administration, behaviour management and helping pupils with their daily routine.
You will join a well-balanced team who are here to help and assist. It has a highly skilled and dedicated staff team who work together to ensure all pupils experience an exciting curriculum tailored to meet their individual needs. As a result, a safe, caring and supportive ethos enables them to be happy at school and achieve well in their learning.

Experience of supporting with autism and complex needs
Medication administration
Happy to help with personal care
A calm and friendly person
Experience of behaviour that challenges
Trained in PECS or MAKATON would be useful

Successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory references, as well as possessing an up to date DBS on the update system or be willing to apply for one through Protocol Education.
Experience of autism is essential and qualifications that would be suitable for this role is Teaching assistant Level 3. Medication administration NVQ2 and NVQ3.
