SEN Teaching Assistant (Personal Care)

I am currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school located in Haringey, London to help assist a child in Year 1 with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis. You will be working 1:1 with a boy in Year 1 who has Autism and is non-verbal. He is well behaved but requires personal care which means you would be expected to change his nappy. This full time position is to start after October half term and will be for the rest of the academic year so you must be able to commit to the role.
The staff are highly supportive, and creativity is encouraged. They have an excellent staff well-being package and seek out career development opportunities for all staff. Both the staff and children are friendly and welcoming. There is adequate onsite parking and good transports links. Pay starts from £65 per day.
The ideal candidate for this role must:
·Have experience working with SEN children
·Be willing to provide personal care
·Assess the individual learning needs of pupils
·Positively manage challenging behaviour
·Liaise with parents, carers and other professionals who work with the children
·Supervise activities
·Work with teachers to find bespoke and individualised child centred education to help engage the children
