Job description
Protocol Education are currently working with a SEND school in Aylesbury who are looking for Support / Care Workers who are wanting to get out of residential and into a school setting and have a background in ASD and SEMH.

The position will be based within the Key Stages 1, 2 in classes of up to 10 students with varying levels of ASD, SEMH, Global Developmental Delay, general SEN and challenging behaviour.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Collecting and taking the children to and from their transport at the beginning and end of the day
• Assisting with personal care
• Working 1:1 with students in lessons and play
• Supporting classroom teachers where necessary

The ideal candidate will be:

• Flexible
• Confident
• Able to use their initiative
• Friendly and smiley
• Happy to play with the children

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must have the following experience:

  • SEMH
  • PMLD
  • SENTA
  • ASD
  • Team Teach Trained or equivalent would be a bonus
