Job description
Protocol Education is currently looking for SEND Support Specialists to work at our fabulous primary schools within the London Borough of Brent.

Our client schools are on a search for SEND Specialists to support children diagnosed with a whole range of special educational needs, which include ASD, ADHD, Global Delay and Down Syndrome.

As a SEND support specialist, you will support and facilitate individual pupils' academic, social and personal development, encouraging them to develop their social skills, and helping them to use resources to make lessons fun and creative. You will need to make sure that the children you're working with feel safe and comfortable in the school environment, and that their behaviour doesn't disturb the rest of the class and the class teacher.


Essential requirements:
• Available to start immediately
• Able to work 5 days per week
• Existing experience working with children or young adults with communication difficulties/ASD spectrum
• Confidence dealing with pupils with different abilities
• A good knowledge of the British National Curriculum
• Cable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus, classroom management and on-going 1:1 support where necessary
• Good interpersonal skills.
• General knowledge / good understanding of ASD.
