Protocol Education are working with an Ofsted rated "good" school seeking SEND Support workers to transport students between 3 of their educational sites.
The role:
• To act as a support worker and driver to escort students to and from school, their home, between sites
or other appointments that may be necessary as required.
• To ensure that all passengers in your care are treated with dignity and respect and follow safe transport
practices. To raise any concerns and provide details of any incidents as soon as reasonably practicable.
• To supervise and support students to ensure their safety and access to learning and facilitate students’
physical, emotional and educational development.
• To establish and promote supportive and productive relationships with students: acting as a role model
and being aware of, and responding appropriately to, individual needs.
• Covering, where necessary, sessions for Teaching Assistants, encouraging pupils to interact with others
and engage in activities led by the Teacher.
What we need from you:
• A full, clean driving license
• A flexible approach to working
• Experience of working with children/young people with learning difficulties and/or learning disabilities and special educational needs.
• Experience of organising, and helping children and young people to participate in, practical and experiential activities. (preferred)
• Knowledge and understanding of monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress. (preferred)
