Job description
SENd Specialist Teacher

We are currently working with a large alternative education provision in the Teesside area that are seeking suitably qualified and professional teachers, who are able to engage with students with a variety of needs, many of them complex.

The school is part of an academy trust, and is based across multiple sites which cater for varying needs, including anxiety and phobias, social & emotional mental health concerns and behavioural difficulties. The right person will be versatile, engaging preferably drive as multi-site working may be required.

In light of this, we are seeking suitable candidates with a genuine desire to work in the special needs sector, the ability to build relationships with pupils and those who have a real passion for teaching.

To be considered for the role, it is vital that a CV is attached to any application showing the following:

- QTS (either Primary or Secondary)
- Specialism in terms of Key Stage or subject area where relevant
- Experience in mainstream or SENd
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Team Teach training is preferred, but not essential.
