We’re looking for a SEND Specialist Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive school community.
The school’s vision, “Learning for Life”, focuses on helping every pupil make meaningful progress, recognising that success looks different for every learner.
You’ll be working with pupils aged 3–19 who have complex and profound learning needs, delivering a personalised curriculum designed around individual abilities and learning styles. The role involves supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence, and the skills they need for everyday life.
Plan and deliver lessons that meet individual pupil needs
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff
Support pupils with needs such as Autism, ADHD, PMLD, and other complex learning difficulties
Build positive relationships with parents and carers
Encourage progress across both academic learning and personal development
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working in SEND or specialist settings
Strong understanding of differentiating learning for pupils with complex needs
A calm, patient approach and confidence managing behaviour positively
Commitment to helping pupils develop independence and confidence
