SEND/SEMH Cover Supervisor

We are seeking a confident, compassionate, and proactive individual who can provide classroom supervision and tailored support, maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour across the school.

The Role: SEND / SEMH Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Support students with SEND and SEMH needs to engage with pre-set learning activities.
• Adapt your approach to meet diverse learning and behavioural needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Act as a strong role model, setting clear expectations for conduct and engagement.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, particularly those with additional needs.
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people’s wellbeing and academic progress.
• Experience in education, youth work, care, or related settings is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
