Permanent Teacher Contracts for September

UPFRONT CONTRACT

Protocol are currently recruiting for a special needs school in the Richmond/Twickenham area that is due to open in September 2019. The school are prepared to offer upfront permanent contracts upon a successful interview with a view to start in the new academic year. They are currently looking for both primary and secondary teachers and prefer those with SEND experience but are happy to consider mainstream and newly qualified teachers. As this is a brand new school they are hoping to employ teachers who are able to become the foundation and back bone of the school with the ability to promote and support the head teachers ethos through the coming years. This also gives a great opportunity for staff to rise up the ladder as the school would be looking to promote staff in house before looking elsewhere.

The class sizes are small due to the nature of the impairments and the maximum capacity is 8 children in each class. There is excellent-in class support provided by experienced high-level teaching assistants which helps to support the ratio of adults to pupils in the school. The role requires you to be a confident teacher and experience working with ASD, SEMH or SLD children would be beneficial but is not essential. You will be required to plan the lessons, write reports and proactively participate in the general running of the school. You must be vigilant with regards to pupil's well-being but most importantly it is essential that you are able to think outside the box' and employ a creative attitude to teaching every child.
Early years, primary, secondary and post 16 teachers are all encouraged to apply for this role.

Main Duties:
• Teaching KS1 and KS2 curriculum or KS3 and KS4
• Assessing pupil's levels and ability
• Differentiating work based on students' needs and abilities
• Preparing, planning and marking work
• Good behaviour management of the class room
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
• Liaising with parents and carers
