Job description
Strong and enthusiastic SEND Teacher is required for a January start in a SEND Sixth Form in the Brent borough within the Brent borough. This role is initially a rolling long-term placement.

The sixth form caters for pupils with autism as well as those with behavioural difficulties.. Therefore, previous or existing experience working with pupils with these challenges would be an advantage. You will be responsible for a class size of 7 students with some behavioural difficulties and you will have the support of 5 Teaching Assistants.

Ideally, you will have the following:

• QTS
• Knowledge of TEACH
• Be able to commit to a full-time role (5 days per week)
• Have previous or existing experience working with children with different educational needs
• Confidence differentiating lessons for pupils with a range of different academic abilities
• Cable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus, classroom management and on-going 1:1 support where necessary
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with instructional approaches required to facilitate complete access to the curriculum for pupils with ASD as well as behaviourial
difficulties
